Now this is being linked to the catheter, and the baxter plastic bottle contains what i would describe a s appear shaped elastic container, which is supposed to shrink in size inside the plastic bottle, while it is being inserted in my blood flow!
The bottle, then as it is being put into place:
and finally as an elegant piece of clothing accessory, as you need to keep it on you day and night for 48 hours...
So, after that, we are nearly free to go, as the good Doctor Marcelis wants to have a small chat with me. he checks that everything is fine, explains that i can call a number of emergency phones in case something is wrong, or if i need some advice in case one or more side-effects happen.
He writes me a prescription for an anti-nausea drug, just in case.
Dear readers, i have for the time being absolutely no need for it, the appetite is strong, nothing to report yet in the realm of strange effects or unpleasant moments.
Sleeping was not as bad as i feared, as the bottle can move from the right side to the left side, and the contraption is not problematic. But it will be nice to be without it for the next 11 days!
Tomorrow we get it taken off, and i'll update you on metrics and the overall feel. I have been told that some people get some side-effects right from the start, others three days after the chemo has been absorbed, others not on the first sessions, so much to be discovered as this journey only starts...
